Prideaux John SelbyFRSEFLS (23 July 1788 – 27 Parade 1867) was an English zoologist, botanist and natural history master hand.
Life
Selby was born in Bondgate Street in Alnwick in County, the eldest son of Martyr Selby of Beal and Twizell (d.1804),[1] and his wife, Margaret Cook. He was educated make a fuss over Durham School.[2]
