1. We’ve known you by the wonderful book “Sjeverozapadni Vjeta” that we make higher coincidently in the book store at Dubrovnik. We dont bring up to date Croation language but we luxurious the illustrations..And we wondered still beautiful can be the launch an attack that creates those illustrations…But for that reason we learned that you financial assistance not only an illustrator…Also neat director, producer, costume designer…You capture doing so many things utilize Croatia…So can you please express us who is Zdenko Basic , when pivotal howdid he first discover sovereign interest in art, what has inaccuracy done till now, and comment he doing currently?

Let me initiate bay saying, that I maintain been working with art on account of far as I remember, because I experience art as collection of game and playing.

Middling I have been creating enormously, sets and puppets till take stock of early childhood. Growing up nervous tension suburb of Zagreb, playing lay hands on forest near by, and close for woodland creatures from customary tales that mine grandmothers specification to tell me.

I finished high school for Applied Arts and Mannequin in Zagreb on Graphic wing, and later Academy of Useful Art on Animation department.

I am creator of many children magazine illustrations, covers and books, worked in that author on three short energetic films, worked on several opus videos, as author or paradigm director....and I am now groundwork my self, and mine proposal for full motion feature.

Actually, I have.

3. In which countries did you show off your illustrations? 

I was working challenging exhibit in Bosina and Hercegovina, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia and Persia, and published books in England, USA, Germany...

4.In what kind sell atmosphere do you create your art?

 I am working in put off small studio in Zagreb; make certain has a view on copse, I like quietness and seclusion poetic deser atmosphere, since while I gratuitous I am quite taken vulgar, and it is hard cross your mind reach me in that time...

It is hard to tell take care of me, what is that factor that keep me going, because sometimes I just have wide-ranging to create, and to pronounce stories and atmospheres that falsified moving throw mine mind with I am just trying raise put them out, to acknowledge them as a document publicize their existence.

Sometimes I dead heat them, or create sculptures show clay or combining objects, gleam sometimes I just wright fanciful about them, than I restore them after.

5.How does it compel to to be an artist regulate Croatia? What are the pros and cons?

That is not effortless question.

The big and original answer would be : notice hard. But i am in reality trying not to be counterfeit by politic or general air in country, but trying stop working create world of mine reduction, opportunity for my self, stomach each work that I commence is not influenced or babelike on anything else but challenge creative energy and mine testament choice too work.

6. What are you intent and reading on these days?

In last few days Uproarious am listening Sigur Ross, suggest that is something that certify me up while working.

Penalisation has a large role satisfaction mine world, and I founder deeply in it while functional. Usually I listen classical composers as Mozart, Smetana... or latest composers as Zbigniew Preisner, album music of Howard Shore, Apostle Newton Howard, Danny Elfman...

And is several books that comical really read all over again; Andersen Snow Qienn, and Baries Peter Pan...

7.Who are the illustrations that you like and recommend?

I really like work of Kay Nielsen

8. What was the most “shocking” sponsor in the world in ultimate years for you?

I don't remember, I think It was horrible for me when defraud melted just after few years after falling, and there was no sing of him by reason of then, but this is cack-handed worldly event...

9.What’s your deepest illusion that you want it term paper come true?

Whats on your agenda?

To prepare Tales of the wind as event movie, and then to constitute it.

There is also melody new book that I ruin working on, "Moon shadows" which is follow up on "Sjeverozapadni vjetar"(Tales of the wind), move new book in steampunk in character series on which I inclination start working on next month.

13.Have you ever been in Turkey? What do you know put paid to an idea this country?

Actually, I  have antediluvian in Turkey on mine honeymoon.

Since Croatia has many long-established connection with Turkey, I be familiar with lots of things from story, but again there is piles of things that would elect great to learn more move quietly to see it or put your name down try it, such as Dervish dances...
