I recently read David Unrelenting. Reynolds’s new release “Abe: Ibrahim Lincoln in His Times.” That self-described cultural biography is biggest (932 pages of text), educative and excellent at placing Lawyer within the context of magnanimity political, economic and social cross-currents of his era.
